Meet our Camp Director Mr. G!
Hello my name is Scott Gurien. I have my Bachelors of Science in physical education, my Masters in health education, and a minor degree in sports management. Currently, this is my 19th year teaching elementary physical education. Sports are my passion. I have played, umpired/refereed, and coached roller hockey, soccer, baseball, kickball, broomball, and volleyball. I was a camp counselor for 4 years before being promoted to recreation camp director at Hofstra University Summer Camps in NY. I then moved to MD and worked for the Recreation and Parks department as a camp director for 7 summers before arriving and building this amazing program at Benfield Sportscenter for the last 10 years. I strive for respect, sportsmanship, and integrity. I look forward to another great summer at Benfield Sportscenter!
